    Won't the Law Society have something to say about all this ?

    Before the little chipmunk discovered the horn of plenty wasn't she a solicitor ? I assume she'll be one again after 2010.

    It literally means "shamed joy" in German which is kind of applicable in the expenses fiasco :)

    Interesting rate of 29.^% What was the prevailing rate of CGT at the time of the property transaction, I wonder?

    Yup, I wondered about the rate. She's paid more than the current rate, so presumably it was at the old rate (40%) with deductions/reliefs added in - she possibly also granted herself her annual CGT allowance (which might account for it entirely). Sorry no journalist asked at the time.
